3547 nomodidáskalos (de 3551/ nómos, "ley" y 1320/ didáskalos, "maestro") - propiamente "un maestro de la leyes," usado para referirse a un experto en la ley mosaica. 3547/ nomodidáskalos ("intérprete de la ley de las Escrituras") no aparece en el griego antiguo secular (BAGD, Kittel), pero se usa tres veces en el NT (Lk 5:17; Ac 5:34; 1 Tim 1:7). Insinúa a un maestro de la ley de Dios altamente cualificado, es decir, erudito en la interpretación de la Biblia - una persona con tanta  erudición (un académico) en las Escrituras hebreas (AT) que tenía la posición de "jurista-maestro."
