ἀναίδεια (T WH ἀναιδία; see I, i), (ας, ἡ, (ἀναιδής, and this from ἡ αἰδώς a sense of shame); from Homer down; shamelessness, impudence: Luke 11:8 (of an importunate man, persisting in his eritreaties; (A. V. importunity)).
